Description
“HomeSweetHome” is a hand-built ceramic sculpture combining soft organic curves with clearly defined architectural planes. Its compact, substantial form evokes a house, shelter or enclosed place of refuge, naturally suggesting ideas of home, protection, intimacy and belonging.
Vertical relief rhythms and angular transitions create a changing interplay of light and shadow, while the restrained surface reveals warm earthy, bronze, brown and mineral-grey tones. Viewed from different angles, the sculpture shifts between an architectural, almost monumental presence and a softer, more organic character.
The sculpture was fired in an Anagama kiln. During the prolonged wood firing, flame and wood ash naturally shaped the surface colours, textures and individual fire marks. These processes give the work a singular character that can never be reproduced in exactly the same way.
Height: 48 cm
“HomeSweetHome” can serve as a distinctive focal point in an interior or collection. Its quiet tension between monumentality and intimacy invites the work to be experienced not only as a sculptural form, but also as a symbolic reflection on home, shelter and belonging.
