Description
This small handmade cup is distinguished by its lively, naturally formed surface, where ash glaze and flame marks create subtle combinations of colour, pattern and texture. Each piece is one of a kind – its surface and colour can never be reproduced in exactly the same way.
The cup was fired for more than 100 hours in the Dūkštos Anagama wood-fired high-temperature kiln. During the firing, wood ash carried by the flames naturally melts onto the surface, forming the characteristic glaze and giving each piece its individual character.
