Description
This handmade teapot is distinguished by its strong sculptural form, curved handle and expressive spout. Deep brown and charcoal tones blend with warm bronze, golden and lighter accents of naturally formed ash glaze. The interplay between matte and more glass-like surfaces gives the piece depth, while natural colour transitions emphasise its unique character.
The teapot was fired for 114 hours in the Karmazinai Anagama wood-fired high-temperature kiln, reaching approximately 1300 °C. During the long firing, wood ash carried by the flames naturally melted onto the surface, forming an ash glaze and distinctive flame marks. Every Anagama-fired piece is unique and can never be reproduced in exactly the same way.
Height: 15 cm
Diameter 19 cm
Capacity apie 600 ml
Its balanced form and comfortable handle make it suitable for preparing and pouring tea. The expressive surface also allows the teapot to be appreciated as a collectible ceramic work.
