Description

This small Anagama vase has an elegant teardrop-shaped silhouette, with a rounded body, narrow neck and subtly flared rim. Its restrained proportions allow the naturally developed surface to become the main visual focus.
Olive, warm earthy brown and smoky tones move across the vase. Lighter areas of naturally formed ash glaze appear on one side, while deeper brown and charcoal hues emerge on another. Some areas have a gentle sheen, while others remain matte and softly textured, giving each side of the vase a different appearance.
The vase was fired for more than 100 hours in the Dūkštos Anagama, with no glaze applied beforehand. During the prolonged wood firing, flame and wood ash naturally formed the ash glaze, colour transitions and individual fire marks. The resulting surface cannot be reproduced in exactly the same way.

Height: 13 cm
Diameter 8 cm

The vase is suitable for a single flower, a slender branch or a small botanical arrangement. Its elegant proportions and naturally developed surface also make it beautiful when displayed on its own.
