Description
This handmade pitcher is distinguished by its soft, subtly asymmetrical form, generous handle and lively, naturally developed surface. Light sandy and creamy tones blend with brown and grey nuances, while granite inclusions in the clay appear as darker speckles, giving the piece a distinctive mineral character.
The pitcher was fired for 114 hours in the Karmazinai Anagama wood-fired high-temperature kiln, reaching approximately 1300 °C. During the long firing, flame and naturally melted wood ash shaped the surface colours, textures and subtle fire marks. Every Anagama-fired piece is one of a kind and can never be reproduced in exactly the same way.
Height: 17 cm
Diameter 14 cm
Weight: 740 g
Suitable for serving water or other beverages, it can also be used as a small vase. Its sculptural form and light mineral surface allow it to stand equally well as an individual ceramic object.
