Description
This handmade plate is distinguished by its low, gently curved form and restrained, atmospheric surface. Soft grey and warm brown tones transition into subtle pink and bronze nuances, while the more glass-like centre contrasts with the matte, softly textured rim. Natural shifts in colour give the piece a sense of calm, depth and individuality.
The plate was fired for more than 100 hours in an Anagama wood-fired high-temperature kiln. During the long firing, wood ash carried by the flames naturally melted onto the surface, forming an ash glaze and subtle flame marks. Every Anagama-fired piece is one of a kind and can never be reproduced in exactly the same way.

Suitable for small servings, accompaniments to tea rituals, or as a decorative object in its own right. Its subtle form and surface also allow it to be appreciated as a collectible ceramic piece.
