Description
This set of two small cups belongs to Beatričė Kelerienė’s “You Drink Coffee, I Drink Tea, My Dear” series. Designed as a pair, the cups share a similar form and decoration while retaining subtle individual differences.
Their warm creamy surfaces are decorated with hand-painted dark blue geometric motifs. Vertical lines, rows of dots and short branching marks repeat rhythmically around each cup, creating a pattern that changes as the vessels are turned. The deep blue decoration forms a clear yet restrained contrast with the warm natural tones of the clay.
The cups were fired in a traditional wood-fired kiln, allowing subtle variations in colour and glaze to develop naturally. Small raised feet lift the cups slightly from the surface and give their compact forms a lighter appearance.
